GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

         Soc Trang province is located at the Southern Hau River's estuary, 231km from Ho Chi Minh City, 62km from Can Tho. It is located on National Highway 1A connecting the provinces of Can Tho, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau; National Highway 60 connects Soc Trang with Tra Vinh, Ben Tre and Tien Giang provinces.

         - Coordinate location: 9012' - 9056' North latitude and 105033' - 106023' East longitude.

         - The natural area is 3,311.7629 km² (accounting for about 1% of the country's area and 8.3% of the area of the Mekong Delta).

         - The coastline is 72 km long and 03 large estuaries: Dinh An, Tran De, My Thanh all flow into the East Sea.

         - The province has the following contiguous administrative boundaries:

        + The North and the Northwest borders Hau Giang province;

        + The Southwest borders Bac Lieu province;

        + The Northeast borders Tra Vinh province;

        + The East and Southeast borders the East Sea.
